Analytical determinations play an important role for companies that develop products for the consumer. The results from these determinations are used to evaluate the quality of a product before it is released to the market. These determinations are also used to establish or extend shelf life dating of products, and to provide troubleshooting evidence for complaint investigations. Analytical determinations can be divided into two groups: Instrumental analysis and classical analysis. Instrumental analysis is most useful for determinations made on components at minor or trace levels (typically less than about 1% of the whole). However, for measurements of major components (about 1% up to 100%), the classical analysis provides much better accuracy and precision than instrumental techniques.
ITC Labs specializes in the development of classical analytical methods and can provide expertise in designing analytical methods that fit your particular requirements.
